Three ISIS terrorists have been killed and two guesthouses used by the terror group destroyed in northeastern Diyala, security committee of the province declared Thursday.
Head of the committee Sadiq al-Husseini said the Iraqi forces carried out a surgical attack against ISIS cells in the areas of al-Tabj, Mardan until Hamrin in northeastern Diyala.
According to Husseni, a depot of arms has been destroyed.
Elsewhere on terror, police in Baghdad said two civilians were wounded in a bomb blast north of the province.
According to a security source, the bomb was planted near stores. It went off this afternoon, wounding two civilians, who sustained injuries of varying degrees.
The security forces rushed to the scene and sealed off the area. The wounded were taken to hospital for treatment.
The Iraqi cities are witnessing a state of insecurity and chaos as terror attacks target civilians.
