Several Hundreds protest lack of services in Baghdad's Jisr Diyala

Hundreds of civilians took to the streets in Jisr Diyala neighborhood southeast of Baghdad to demand better services for their area.

The demonstrators called on Prime Minister Haider al Abadi to form a committee to visit their area to inspect its current deteriorating situation.

Demonstrators said the city was suffering a collapse in basic services after years of neglect.

The main demands expressed by demonstrators are the rehabilitation of sewage and electricity networks and linking them to the main stations in Baghdad.
