Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz met in
Cairo Al-Azhar Sheikh Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb in the presence of the official
delegation accompanying the Crown Prince, SPA reported on Tuesday.
Sheikh Al-Azhar welcomed the Crown Prince on his current visit to Egypt, praising the role of Saudi Arabia in serving the Islamic Ummah and defending its interests.
The Crown Prince also praised the role of Al-Azhar in spreading Islamic knowledge and serving the issues of the Islamic Ummah.
The meeting also stressed the importance of joint coordination to address the challenges facing the Arab and Islamic nation to preserve religious constants and spread Islamic culture, highlight noble principles and noble values, and reject extremist ideology.
