Iraqi security forces thwarted a suicide attack on a security checkpoint in Anbar province.
In a statement, security media office said the suicide bomber was killed without any losses among the ranks of security forces.
The attack targeted a security checkpoint stationed at Kilo 18 west of Anbar's Ramadi, using a red pickup vehicle, the statement read.
The vehicle was loaded with high-explosive C-4 packed in tin cans.
