Iraqi PM Haider Abadi said Monday his country is seeking better relations with Saudi Arabia.
This came during a meeting with a Saudi media delegation in Baghdad. The meeting is attended by Saudi ambassador to Iraq Abdul-Aziz Shemary.
During the meeting, Abadi stressed his country managed to eliminate sectarianism and keep the country unified.
A Saudi media delegation arrived Friday in Baghdad at an invitation of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate (IJS) after a 28-year hiatus.
The delegation, grouping heads of Saudi press institutions, was received by IJS Chairman Moayad al Lamy.
