Iraqi forces have killed 30 ISIS after destroying a cave in western Mosul, the Baghdad Post reported Sunday.
The operation targeted ISIS terrorists in a village which is located 140 kilometers west of Mosul, sources said.
The operation was based on accurate intelligence information.
"The Iraqi forces directly bombed the cave with 27 mortars that led to the complete collapse of the cave and the killing of all the terrorists in it," an official said.
Iraqi officials declared the full liberation of Iraqi territories of ISIS terror group in December 2017.
But officials warn that ISIS sleeper cells still threaten large parts of Iraq.
