The Iraqi defense and security parliamentary committee on Sunday warned that ISIS may regroup near border areas which are not secured enough.
In a statement, lawmaker Ali al-Mutawiti noted that terrorists are using technology which is more advanced than that of the Iraqi security forces.
He called on defence and interior ministers to launch a joint operation to purge border areas, deploy Iraqi troops there and provide them with all advanced equipment.
In a meeting with his French counterpart, Edouard Philippe on Sunday Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar al Abadi said the fight against ISIS terrorist group is still going on.
