Member of the parliament's economic committee said on Friday prime minister Haider al-Abadi ordered the formation of a committee to discuss the budgetary appropriations for the Kurds in 2018.
In a Facebook post, Masoud Haider said:"Abadi held two meetings on Thursday, where he raised several outstanding issues between Baghdad and Erbil."
He added the Kurdish quota in the budget, Peshmerga's salaries, salaries of employees Kurdistan and Halabja province and the genocide being committed in Tuz Khurmatu were among the issues discussed in the meetings.
He said Abadi acknowledged that what happened in Tuz Khurmatu, in reference to forced displacements, was a grave mistake, asserting locals should return to their homes.
The lawmaker yet
said Abadi asserted all employees in throughout the federal agencies will
receive their salaries.
