Iraqi MPs disrupt political process in Iraq

Iraqi MPs disrupt political process in Iraq - Journalistic Observatory

Several Iraqi MPs have refrained from attending the parliamentary sessions, therefore voting over many drafts has been suspended, Hadi Jalo Marie, the head of the Journalistic Freedoms Observatory, said on Wednesday.

He added that most of the lawmakers do not care about Iraqi people's interest as they go shopping with their wives instead of attending the sessions.

Marie accused these MPs of disrupting the political process in Iraq.

Earlier, Mansour Al Baegi, a member of State of Law Coalition, called on Iraqi Parliament Speaker Salem al-Jabouri to put an end to these breaches as the council's excesses must be averted and its shortcomings redressed.
