1,000 ISIS terrorists are still existing in Iraq: Commander

1,000 ISIS terrorists, including 20% foreigners, Arabs, still in Iraq
Up to 1,000 ISIS terrorists, including 20% foreigners and Arabs, are still existing in Iraq, an Iraqi military commander said on Saturday.

He added that the remnants of ISIS terrorists hide out in Iraqi Western Desert, Hamrin Mountains, and areas between Mosul and Haditha cities.

Half of these terrorists are sleeper cells while the others carry out terror attacks, he asserted, confirming that ISIS struck Hiit and Mosul cities as well as Diyala and Kirkuk governorates during the past two weeks.

After receiving intelligence, Iraqi forces managed to trace the movements of these terrorists.

The commander expected the continuations of ISIS terror attacks in Iraq for other two years but these attacks will reduce over time.

Last month, Abadi announced the full liberation of Iraqi lands, declaring the end of the war against ISIS terrorists.
