Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu will meet with the Iraqi president, prime minister and parliament speaker as well as the Turkmen coordinating body for the reconstruction of recaptured districts, Hassan Toran, vice-president of the Iraqi Turkmen Front, revealed Saturday.
In press statements, Toran said the Turkish foreign minister’s visit, scheduled for Sunday, is very important as in comes against the backdrop of development and improvement of relations between the two countries at all levels.
The Iraqi-Turkish relations are witnessing a marked improvement, he noted.
Cavusoglu visit will come after a positive message from Turkey as it said it will not fill Aliso Dam, which minimized water flows to Iraq, already facing a shortage in rainfall, he further stated.
The Turkish foreign minister will discuss with the Turkmen delegation the reconstruction of districts that have been recaptured from ISIS terrorists to pave the way for the return of displaced persons before holding the elections in May, he added.
