Over 140 displaced families return to their homes in western Anbar
More than 140 displaced families have returned to their homes in Rawa, al-Qa'im, and Anah towns in western Anbar governorate, Mazen Khaled, an advisor to the governor, told The Baghdad Post on Saturday.

Khaled confirmed that these towns are secure to receive the IDPs.

The stakeholders have coordinated with the international organizations to hasten in the rebuilding of the areas destroyed to war against ISIS.

He also pointed out that bomb disposal experts managed to purge these towns from explosive devices and remnants of war.

As a result of the war against ISIS terrorists in Iraq, the number of displaced people risen dramatically. This increases the burden on the central government trying to handle the problem of displaced Iraqis who escaped the atrocities of ISIS since the launch of recapture operations.
