Newly formed coalitions expose weakness of political process in Iraq
The newly formed coalitions have exposed the weakness of political process in Iraq, Atheel al-Nujaifi, the former governor of Nineveh governorate, posted on his Facebook page on Tuesday.

He added that the political parties do not trust each other while many lawmakers claimed the role of leadership.

Few politicians are trustworthy and can run for the upcoming elections, slated for next May.

He added that the Shia parties that called for eliminating Sunnis are the weakest parties as they are taking cover under the umbrella of the leaders whom they had attacked before.

Meanwhile, Iraqi National Alliance confirmed its support to delay the upcoming elections, Kambish, a member of the alliance, said.

She added that Iraq's Parliamentary Legal Committee will declare on Thursday the decisions of the High Electoral Commission over the date of upcoming elections.

She pointed out the security and political situations in Iraq are not suitable for conducting elections as Iraq has not recovered yet from its war against ISIS.

Last month, Abadi announced the full liberation of Iraqi lands, declaring the end of the war against ISIS terrorists.
