On Monday, Tayran Square, in the heart of the Iraqi capital Baghdad witnessed two suicide bombings, killing 38 civilians and injuring 118 others.
IMIS carried out this attack, according to analysts, to confirm that Baghdad, with a majority of Sunnis, is witnessing a state of chaos and instability and the upcoming elections, slated for next May, should not be delayed.
By implementing this crime, IMIS points out that Iraq is in dire need for a new and strong Shiite government, not a Sunni and weak one, according to their claims.
So on that basis, analysts accused IMIS and Shiite political parties of carrying out this attack as they are the ultimate beneficiary of this assault.
