Political process in Iraq witnesses state of chaos- MP
The political process in Iraq has been witnessing a state of chaos, not alliances, Iraqi MP Kazem al-Saidi said on Tuesday.

This came after the Iranian-backed Badr and Asaib Ahl al-Haq (AAH) militias have withdrawn from Victory and Reform Coalition, headed by Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, well-informed sources said.

These militias called for working according to sectarian quotas but Abadi refused their calls, the sources added.

On Wednesday, Osama al-Nujaifi, the head of United for Iraq party, declared the formation of a new electoral coalition, under his leadership, and with the participation of several political parties,

Also, Abadi announced Sunday forming the Victory Coalition, saying that it will transcend sectarianism, segregation, and discrimination.

Iraq has been witnessing a state of political confusion ahead of elections, slated for next May. Conflicts are raging among parties and blocs while the divisions are increasing inside the coalitions themselves.
