Tigris Operations Commander Gen. Maher al-Azawi on Monday said the Iraqi police, army and IMIS militias have managed to destroy eight ISIS guesthouses along with a depot of arms in northern Diyala.
He added the forces detonated a booby-trapped car.
The commander said this comes within the framework of the operations launched today with the aim of purging the area of ISIS terrorists.
"The forces have destroyed the targets set out in the plan of the operations," Azawi noted.
ISIS terror outfit has been incurring huge losses in Iraq in recent months, with its affiliates expelled entirely from Mosul, Tal Afar and other areas.
