Parliament Speaker Salim al-Jabouri and National Wisdom Movement leader Ammar al-Hakim discussed Thursday many issues, including the federal budget, the upcoming elections and the national reconciliation.

According to al-Jabouri media office's statement, the parliament's speaker and Hakim have discussed the requirements of the next phase, particularly reaching an agreement on shared visions to resolve outstanding issues and creating conditions that serve lasting political and social stability.

The two leaders have tackled the means to improving services and providing a decent livelihood to citizens, the statement read.

During the meeting, Jabouri and Hakim have discussed the return of displaced persons to their cities and the reconstruction of destroyed districts, the statement added.

Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi declared Tuesday launching of the national document for recaptured districts' reconstruction and development plan, which is estimated at 100 billion US dollars.

Many Iraqi cities have been devastated as a result of ISIS occupation and the military operations to recapture the districts seized by the terrorist group.

Amid a crippling financial crisis, Iraq needs billions to reconstruct the retaken districts.
