National Iraqi Alliance (NIA) MPs will vote in favor of the 2018 state budget bill after the inclusion of our governorates' demands, Haider al-Mawla, an NIA MP revealed Tuesday.
In a press statement, al-Mawla said the budget has to be approved by the parliament after the inclusion of the cabinet's proposals and amendments.
The budget does not include allocations of job grades, petrodollars of oil-producing governorates and reconstruction of recaptured districts, he noted.
On Sunday, Nazim al-Saadi, head of the parliamentary services and reconstruction committee, said returning the 2018 state budget proposal to the government is a "disappointment" to the parliament and it is an unconstitutional move.
In November, the parliament's presidium referred the draft budget to the parliamentary financial committee to prepare a final version of the budget and discuss its amendments with the government.
