National Corrective Movement (Tasheh Party) called on Tuesday for including the financial allocations of the residents of recaptured districts in the 2018 state budget.
The financial allocations, including allocations of job grades and food rations, have not been paid to the residents of retaken districts since ISIS seized large swaths of Iraq in 2014.
In a statement, Secretary-General of the National Correctional Party Kamel Karim al-Dulaimi called on Parliament Speaker Salim al-Jabouri and Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi to pay those residents the financial allocations they have been deprived of since 2014.
These financial allocations have to be added as new items in the 2018 state budget in order to alleviate poverty, he noted
Accelerating the provision of assistance to residents of recaptured districts will promote peace in society and foil attempts to sow the seeds of sedition among Iraqis, he further added.
