Kurdish cabinet holds meeting following 2 parties withdraw from gov't

Gorran Movement, Kurdistan Islamic Union withdraw from government
Kurdish cabinet will hold a meeting, headed by Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani and his deputy Qubad Talabani, to discuss the withdrawal of the Gorran Movement and the Kurdistan Islamic Union party from the government, an official source in the government said on Thursday.

He added that the meeting will also discuss German delegation's visit to the region, the demonstrations in Sulaymaniyah governorate, and the burning of parties and governments' headquarters.

Over the past few days, Sulaymaniyah has been unsettled with mass protests, sabotage, and arson.

The KRG has concerned about the recent violent incidents in several areas in the Region, particularly in Sulaymaniyah governorate, where several headquarters of parties and government have been attacked and many people have been injured while many properties damaged.
