Kurdistan Region PM Nechirvan Barzani is set to hold talks with German Chancellor Angela Merkel along with the ministers for foreign affairs and defense early next week to discuss bilateral relations and other outstanding issues, KRG's Department of Foreign Affairs stated Saturday.
Barzani, who will top a high-level delegation, will discuss the war against ISIS, the plight of the refugees and the Iraqi displaced with German officials.
Both sides will also tackle means to end existing crisis between Erbil and Baghdad.
The visit came at the invitation of the German federal government.
Iraqi forces backed by Iran-allied IMIS Militias invaded oil-rich Kirkuk after the Sept. 25 independence referendum that won an overwhelming YES for an independent Kurdistan.
