Yemen’s former president
Ali Abdullah Saleh, who was shot dead by Houthis last week, was buried by
those who killed him despite loyalists demanding his body be handed over.
A source close to the Saleh family said that the former president was buried in a cemetery in his hometown of Beit Al Ahmar on Saturday, Al Arabiya reported.
The source said that the Houthis buried Saleh in the presence of his son, Madyan, who was reportedly detained by the Iran-backed group after sustaining injuries.
“The funeral had a limited number of people, and they did not exceed 20,” said the source.
