Iraq can't eradicate corruption without cleansing the Judicial system, Integrity commission and the interior ministry is unachievable, Iraqi Parliament Financial Commission Member Haitham al-Jabouri said on Tuesday.
In a press statement, Jabouri said that the Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi's campaign against corruption needs public support to expose corruption.
He noted that this campaign must start by cleansing the Judicial system, Integrity commission and the interior ministry, as they control the anti-corruption measures.
Jabouri stressed that this campaign must not be used to settle political scores and be only used to cleanse the Iraqi government from corruption.
He added that the campaign will be considered successful if it arrests top officials, not only low ranking ones and also from the opposition and government supporters.
