3 earthquakes hit Iraq's Khanaqin, Sulaymaniyah, Kut cities
Three earthquakes took place Wednesday midnight in Iraq, seismic monitoring station has reported in a statement on Thursday.

One earthquake, 4.1 on the Richter scale, hit at 10:47:13 (local time) in northeastern Khanaqin city in Diyala governorate.

The second one, 4.3 on the Richter scale, hit at 11:34:03 (local time) in Sulaymaniyah city.

While the third one, 4.0 on the Richter scale, hit at 3:28:08 (local time) in northeastern Kut city.

The station called on the Iraqi citizens to be careful and adherence to seismic codes which were updated subsequent to recorded earthquake activity in the areas.

Earlier on Saturday, A 4.4 magnitude earthquake struck the Iranian province of Qasr Shirin and Karamian in the Kurdistan region.
