PUK urges 'Kirkuk Brotherhood' list to resume its work
MP from the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), Ala Talabani, on Sunday called on members of the Kirkuk's provincial council and the Brotherhood List to return to their work.

"Our visit to Kirkuk is not the first, we are members of  Parliament, we are working for interests of all components of Kirkuk", Talabani said in a joint conference with the acting governor of Kirkuk, Rakan al-Jubouri, on Sunday.

The conference came after the governor of Kirkuk welcomed the visit of  MPs Ala Talabani, Baston Zankana and Shawan Daoudi at the building of Kirkuk province," asserting that it is not the first visit to them. This is evidence of their keenness to achieve consensus and to oversee the reality of Kirkuk.

"we are in contact with the government in order to provide services and achieve security and deliver the demands of the province,", she added.

She added that she is coordinating with MPs from all components in the legislation of laws and secure the needs of Kirkuk, noting that "Kirkuk is going through a transitional period so it requires efforts and mediators and experience to promote peace and success of the government".

"The region must be managed through the partnership between all components,", she added citing a statement of former Iraqi president Jalal Talabani.

Jubouri stressed the importance of dialogue between the members of  Parliament, government and  political blocs, adding that "we are working for all the people of Kirkuk because our procedures serve coexistence and stability."
