Over 45% of Mosul displaced civilians in Kurdistan have returned to their homes, Nineveh Council Member Ali Khudeir told The Baghdad Post on Thursday.
Khudeir added that the city is currently witnessing a steady flow of displaced civilians returning to their homes.
He asserted that most families from the right bank of Mosul are waiting for their areas to be rebuilt so that they can come back.
He further added that the right bank of Mosul devastation is beyond imagination, noting that ISIS terrorists deliberately destroyed civilians' homes.
Khudeir stressed that Nineveh governorate council is currently waiting for more reconstruction budget allocations for the city's infrastructure.
