Kurdish parties meeting ends without any resolutions for referendum

The leaders of Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) and Gorran Movement parties have ended their meeting without reaching any agreements concerning Kurdistan independence referendum, a well informed source said on Sunday.

During the meeting, they discussed several issues, including Kurdish parliament activation and other issues.

Two weeks ago, Baghdad called on Kurdistan to hand over control of all its international border posts to federal authorities and told the international community to deal exclusively with the government in Baghdad, particularly in relation to oil.

On Sep.25,  Kurdistan carried out an independence referendum with an overwhelming vote to secede from Iraq.
