A US-led coalition soldier has been killed while one other has been injured when an explosive device was tossed at their vehicle in Iraq, the coalition announced Monday.
In a statement, the coalition said that more details would be disclosed as soon as the victims’ families were informed.
Seven US soldiers have been killed so far during the war on ISIS in Iraq, including two who were killed in Mosul liberation operation.
On July 10, Iraqi security forces, backed by US-led coalition, recaptured Mosul after a nine-month military operation.
Late in August, the forces retook Tal Afar.
On Friday, Prime Minister Haider Abadi announced launching second phase to recapture Hawija city in Kirkuk Governorate.
