Intelligence directorate detains top ISIS leaders in Anbar

Military Intelligence Directorate announced Sunday top ISIS leaders had been detained in Anbar.


In a statement, the directorate said, "The ISIS elements arretsed are specialized in fixing weapons and otehr military equipment".


They were arrested in possession of machines and tools used in fixing weapons, the statement added.


The terror group still captures cities of Anna, Rawa and Qa'im in western Anbar, its last stronghold in Iraq.


ISIS captured large swathes of Iraq and Syria in 2014. But Iraqi army supported by US-led coalition ousted the terror group from all key Iraqi cities.
