Local government of Basra on Friday declared mourning after the terrorist attacks that hit the province, killing and injuring dozens.
In press statements, provincial council member Gabar al-Saidi said Basra governor ordered flags to be flown at half mast in the aftermath of the deadly attack in which many of city's civilians had been killed.

Two attacks targeted Dhi Qar Province on Thursday, one of them was a car bombing claimed 59 lives and left 96 injured. The car bombing occurred near a security checkpoint in the province, police spokesman, Saad Maan said in a statement.
