Iraqi jets have destroyed ISIS’ most important rest house in northeastern Diyala, sources said Wednesday.
Earlier on Wednesday, Tigris operations command revealed that the Iraqi Air Force shelled an ISIS vehicle in Thallab valley in northeastern Diyala.
In a statement, Liutenant-General Mizher al-Ezzawi, commander of the operations, said that the bombardment destroyed the vehicle and killed the terrorists boarding it.
The Iraqi Army fully recaptured Diyala Governorate from ISIS terrorists in January 2015.
In July, the Iraqi forces, backed by the US-led coalition, recaptured Mosul and recently retook Tal Afar.
Currently, the forces are preparing for storming Hawija in Kirkuk Governorate to recapture the city from ISIS terrorists.
