Local and foreign parties have conducted negotiations with ISIS terrorists in Tal Afar city in Nineveh Governorate, MP Mohamed Nouri al-Abed Rabbo revealed on Friday.
In a press statement, al-Abed Rabbo said that a clear political and security agreement was reached in Tal Afar.
He noted that if countries and leaders can enter into negotiations with ISIS, he wished an agreement would have been reached on Mosul before destroying the city and killing thousands of civilians before recapturing it from the terrorist group.
In Tal Afar an agreement has been reached, this was apparent when thousands of ISIS terrorists turned themselves in to Peshmerga forces, he further stated.
He added that likely, Turkey, Iran, Hezbollah and Kurdistan Region were parties in this agreement.
He also pointed out that probably, the central government took part in these negotiations, adding that he does not exclude that the US had participated too in these negotiations.
Many questions on this issue have to be answered by Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, Abed Rabbo added.
On Thursday, the Iraqi prime minister announced that Tal Afar was fully liberated from ISIS terrorists.
