Seven ISIS terrorists carried out two suicide attacks on security headquarters and a military luggage company in Baiji city in northern Salahuddin Governorate, Let. Gen. Mahmoud al-Jubouri told The Baghdad Post Wednesday.
The first attack has been carried out by five ISIS terrorists on the 13th Brigade, affiliated with the Federal Police. It resulted in the killing of three police personnel and the injuring of six others, he said.
Another two ISIS terrorists attacked a military luggage company, 60th infantry brigade, and 20th Brigade in Al Msafa area in Baiji city. This attack resulted in the killing of an army soldier and destroying three vehicles.
The clashes are still ongoing, he added, confirming that more security forces were deployed to Baiji city.
Salahuddin Governorate has been witnessing a state of insecurity and chaos as terror attacks are targeting civilians.
