Asa'ib Ahl al-Haq militia on Monday hinted that there may be a military confrontation with the Kurds.
Jawad al-Talibawi, a senior leader within the militia, said in a press statement:"We will stand firmly against policies of (president of Kurdistan region Masoud) Barzani even if we are prompted to take up arms against him 'to maintain integrity of Iraqi territories."
He added Barzani is working within a plot to keep IMIS away from liberation operations, accusing him of leading a scheme to seize Arab territories.
The militia leader warned Peshmerga of 'even pondering to wrest control over Iraqi territories.
Qais al-Khazali, leader of Asa'ib Ahl al-Haq militia said previously that one of the problems that will emerge after the fall of ISIS is the Kurdish expansionism and attempts to seize more territories in the northern regions.
