Limited Arab attendance at Rouhani's inauguration ceremonies

Iranian foreign ministry announced that 131 representatives for 85 countries are expected to attend Hassan Rouhani's inauguration ceremony, noting a limited Arab attendance.


In a press statement, Iran Foreign Minister aide Ibrahim Rahim Bour said that presidents of Iraq, Afghanistan, Armenia, Moldavia and eight international organizations representatives are expected to attend the ceremony.


He also said that 30 top figures from 23 European countries are expected to attend, among them are High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs Federica Mogherini, Spain's parliament speaker, a Vatican special representative, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Rogozin.


Meanwhile, Prime Minister of Qatar Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani announced earlier Emir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani will attend Rouhani's inauguration.
