There is an intention to submit a bill to the Iraqi Parliament that excludes soldiers fighting against ISIS from accountability and justice proceedings, the Iraqi Forces Coalition announced on Wednesday.
The coalition also expects the passage of the bill during this legislative term.
In a press statement, Iraqi Forces Coalition MP Mohammed al-Karbouli said :"During ISIS era, a sizeable number of people have fallen under the authority of justice and accountability proceedings, but they joined the ranks of the armed forces and fought ISIS terrorists."
Karbouli, also a member of the parliamentary security and defense committee, said that this segment has went through a test and passed it.
Thus; they have to be rewarded by integrating them again into public life and stop denying them government posts, he added.
