Erdogan, Saudi King Salman discuss Gulf crisis in phone call

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an and Saudi King Salman had a phone call early Thursday, in which they discussed the Gulf crisis and the appointment of the new Saudi crown prince, according to Daily Sabah.

During the call, Erdo?an congratulated the newly appointed crown prince Mohanmmed bin Salman.

The Turkish President and the Saudi King agreed to find ways to solve the crisis surrounding Qatar, presidential sources stated.

The parties also agreed to have a meeting in the upcoming G20 summit in Germany's Hamburg, sources said.

Erdogan have had 20 calls with leaders in the region and the world in an attempt to ease tension between Qatar and Gulf states.

Earlier in the month, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Yemen and Libya’s eastern-based government severed diplomatic ties with Qatar and closed land, sea and air links with Doha
