Old parts in the right bank of Mosul are under the fire of artillery and missiles of the Shiite militias, informed sources said Saturday.
They added this shelling is the heaviest since the start of the offensive to retake western Mosul.
These areas were under fire by the Shiite militias from earlier Friday night until Saturday at dawn, the sources noted.
People in the left bank can clearly hear the loud bangs of the explosions abd missiles and shells being fired at these areas.
These efforts come as part of an offensive launched on 19th of February by the US-backed Iraqi forces, supported by Iranian-backed sectarian IMIS Shiite militias, to oust ISIS terrorists from Mosul, their last major stronghold in Iraq.
