Prime Minister of Kurdistan Regional Government, Najirvan Barzani, has accused Iraqi federal government of supporting Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK), The Baghdad post reported on Monday.

Barzani added in televised remarks that those practices did not take into account the principle of good neighborliness with Turkey, pointing out that the wrong policies of the federal government make a threat to the unity of the country.

"What did Baghdad do to keep Iraq united, what did it do to the Kurds, what did it do for the Sunnis?" Barzani wondered, indicating "these wrong policies make the biggest threat to the unity of Iraq".

"We have to agree on the principle that the presence of the PKK means instability in the Sinjar region," he added.
