The Pentagon has confirmed that more than 350 civilians had been killed in raids by the US-led International Coalition against ISIS positions in Iraq and Syria.

The Joint Task Force said in its monthly assessment of civilian deaths that "the Pentagon is still assessing 42 reports of civilian casualties".

The Task Force added that "45 civilians were killed from November 2016 to March 2017, and reported that 80 civilians were killed from August 2014 until now".

The report included 26 civilians who were killed in three separate strikes in March.

"We regret the unintentional loss of civilian lives ... and express our deepest sympathies to the families and others affected by these strikes," the statement read.
