A blaze broke out at an electronics store in al-Shohada area of Karbala city in central Iraq, 100 km southwest of Baghdad, a source told The Baghdad Post on Tuesday.
Iraqi civil defence dipatched the fire fighting team to the incident scene to contain the fire, the source added.
No one was injured and the building still to be in place as it doesn't need to be demolished., the source said.
Fire investigators have promised they will find out what caused the blaze.
Eyewitnesses said they could see several plumes of smoke.
Preliminary findings of investigations refers to a short circuit.
The Spokesman of Karbala police, Colonel Alaa Al-Ghanmi, has warned to deter all those who might be tempted to be involved in such incidents.
