Anbar tribes warn of Jabouri's agendas ahead of elections

Jabouri: Gov't didn't deliver state budget to parl't

Tribes in Anbar warned on Tuesday against the agendas of parliament speaker Selim al-Jabouri, saying he is implementing them for electoral purposes.

Spokesman for Anbar tribes Ibrahim al-Delaimi said that the parliament speaker did not support the displaced persons, nor had he seen their sufferings in the camps.

He said the visit of Jabouri to Anbar comes as within the electoral propaganda efforts.

The spokesman warned of imposing agendas on the people of Anbar for electoral purposes.

As a result of the war against ISIS terrorists in Iraq, the number of displaced people risen dramatically. This increases the burden on the central government trying to handle the problem of displaced Iraqis who escaped the atrocities of ISIS since the launch of recapture operations.

What exacerbates displaced persons' dilemma is that Iraq’s financial resources have been drained as a result of the military operations conducted to retake ISIS-held districts.
