Two civilians have been injured in a blast that hit the northern part of Baghdad, a security source said on Wednesday.
He added the explosive charges was planted near stores in the district of al-Selaikh, adding the two civilians sustained wounds of varying degrees in the explosion.
The source, who requested anonymity, said the security forces rushed to the scene and cordoned the area off.
The injured were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
