Over 1,000 displaced families return their homes in Hawija

Over 1000 displaced people return their homes in Hawija
Over 1,000 displaced families have returned to their homes in Hawija district, Ammar al-Sabah, the head of Migration and Displacement of the Kirkuk governorate, said Saturday.


He added that a Committee of Migration and Displacement has coordinated with the security forces to help these families to return to their places safely. 


These families have returned to their homes in Hawija, Rashad, Riyadh, and Daquq towns as well as Al-Multaqa village. 


Earlier on October 5, Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi announced the liberation of the Hawija district, stressing that only the border strip with Syria is not liberated yet.
