Iraqi security forces have found two mass graves containing bodies of security personnel and civilians from Hawija who were killed by ISIS terrorists, the Baghdad Post reported Wednesday.
The bodies included children and women.
A security source said in a statement that "two new mass graves were found, including the bodies of missing security forces and civilians executed in the areas of southwestern Hawija."
"There are a lot of mass graves that will be revealed later," he added.
US-backed Iraqi army has launched an offensive to oust ISIS terrorists from Hawija and other parts in western Anbar, the terror group's last stronghold in Iraq.
