ISIS oil tankers destroyed in Mosul

Several oil tankers and a car bomb workshop possessed by ISIS terror group have been destroyed in airstrikes on the right bank of Mosul, military media cell announced on Wednesday.

Upon receiving information from 'We are coming, Nineveh' command, the Iraqi fighter jets scrambled to bomb ISIS positions, including a car bomb workshop and vehicles carrying oil in the districts of Yarmouk and al-Thawra in Mosul, it added.

Iraq's prime minister announced on February 19 the launch of a military assault aimed at taking western Mosul from the ISIS group.

"We announce the start of a new phase in the operation. We are coming to Nineveh to liberate the western side of Mosul," Haider al-Abadi said on television.
