Iraq Foreign ministry condemns London terror attack

Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs has strongly denounced the London terror attack that left four people killed and 20 others injured, The Baghdad Post reported on Wednesday.

In a statement, the ministry spokesman, Ahmad Jamal, said,  "The Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemns the terrorist attack that took place in the vicinity of the parliament building in London". 

"The Iraqi Foreign Ministry affirms its full solidarity with the United Kingdom against any terrorist attack that  targets its security and stability," he added.

Mr. Jamal called on the international community to exert "further efforts to eliminate incubators of terrorism and dry its sources of support and funding."

A terror attack occurred on Wednesday afternoon in the vicinity of the UK Parliament killing four, including the assailant and wounding 20 others. 

A police officer has died after being stabbed during the attack.

The UK police confirmed there were police officers among the injured.
