Iraq called on the international community to offer bigger support in removing landmines from the ISIS-free areas.
Iraq's permanent representative of to the United Nations in Geneva, Ambassador Moayad Saleh, opened a photography exhibition about the humanitarian impacts of mines and improvised explosive devices on the Iraqi society.
The exhibition has been held at the headquarters of the Canadian diplomatic mission.
The Iraqi people are still suffering due to the mines and explosive devices that ISIS terrorists left behind in the areas recaptured by the Iraqi forces, the ambassador said in a statement.
The Iraqi government is facing a lot of difficulties when removing these landmines, he added.
He also indicated that Iraq needs bigger support from the international organizations working in this field.
