King Salman: Iran's nuclear, ballistic missiles a threat to global security

King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud
Saudi king Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud said that Iran’s nuclear and ballistic missiles are a threat to global security.

During an emergency summit of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries in Mecca on Thursday May 30th, he stressed that Iran activities undermine the UN peace treaties.

Addressing the attacks carried out by Iran against Saudi and Emirati tankers, the Saudi king said: “Attacking ships off UAE coast and against Aramco’s pumping stations require us working hard to preserve GCC unity.”

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques also said that Saudi Arabia extends its hand for peace, asserting his keenness to avoid a war in the region. He added that he wants to keep the regional stability and security.

“There is a need for a firm and decisive stance against Iran,” King Salman said, calling on the international community to use all means to stop Iran from interfering in other countries’ affairs.
