MP Falah al-Khafaji described the health situation in the city as unacceptable,
saying that the official authorities of the province is not satisfied with the performance
of the health directorate.
The
cost of the Hillah hospital amounted to 2 billion dinars, Khafaji said, arguing
that it was a priority to allocate these sums for the maintenance of hospitals.
The
Al-Imam Al-Sadiq hospital has a capacity of 400 beds. However, it suffers from
the lack of medical staff, Khafaji said.
Babil
saw 7 suicide cases during this month, Khafaji said, explaining that drugs are the
main cause of suicide in addition to unemployment and poor living.
